Who this covers
Merchants who use Alade and shoppers who buy from a store built on Alade. This policy follows the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
What we collect from merchants
Name, email, phone, business details, bank account details for Paystack settlement, and activity in the dashboard. We never see your full card number.
What we collect from shoppers
Name, email, phone, delivery address and order details, so the merchant can deliver and so you can track your order. Payment details go directly to Paystack.
Why we use it
To run the store, process and deliver orders, send order emails, prevent fraud, and improve the product. Merchants may email shoppers who opted in at checkout.
Who we share it with
Paystack for payments, our email provider to send transactional email, our hosting and image providers, and couriers chosen by the merchant. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Merchant data for as long as the account exists and 90 days after. Order records for 6 years as required for accounting. Shoppers can ask the merchant or Alade to delete their account data.
Your rights
You can access, correct or delete your data and withdraw consent to marketing at any time. Email opanugaaladetomiwa@gmail.com and we respond within 14 days.
